The quickest route is to turn off the A12 at the round-a-bout shown below and follow the road marked in red which is signposted Melton, Woodbridge, Bawdsey and Orford. Continue down the hill into Melton and at the traffic lights turn right towards Woodbridge. About 200yds on the left you will see our signboard. Turn left into Dock Lane at the end of which the Railway Crossing Gates are our entrance.
The Railway Crossing gates are user operated and PLEASE for your own safety follow the procedure on Railtrack's notice. All that is necessary is to use the gate-side telephone (it rings automatically) and when answered you need only say "Dock Lane" and you will be advised "Clear to cross" or "There is a train approaching, wait until it has passed before crossing". For the safety of others, especially children and animals, please ensure that BOTH gates are closed after you have crossed. |
